Joining hands to share god’s love
Mission 2024 will be an opportunity for family members from across the Anglican Mission in Canada to come alongside our brothers and sisters in the Diocese of Sabah to strengthen our relationship with those serving there, partner with them on mission, and celebrate the advancing of God’s kingdom.
As part of an ongoing strategy for the AM in Canada, we hope this trip will also encourage and equip those who go for effective witness and ministry across our nation.

we not only have an opportunity to minister and share with our brothers and sisters there,
but also much we can learn from them.”
Awareness
We will start with several days of exploration of Sabah’s capital Kota Kinabalu, an introduction to the leaders of the diocese of Sabah and their work, and team meetings to prepare for local ministry.
Ministry
While details are being finalized, we will have opportunities to minister in a variety of ways in partnership with local churches in the cities of Kota Kinabalu and Ranau.
Renewal conference
We will also attend a four day Renewal Conference in Telupid hosted by the Anglican Church of Sabah which will include the consecration of a new church and a confirmation of 500 people.
taking it home…
The last couple of days will afford us time to reflect on our experiences together and consider how we might share those with others back home and practice what we’ve learned in our own context.
relate
With the great distances that separate us across Canada and the wide variety of expressions of God’s church in the AM in Canada and the Anglican Church throughout the world, this mission trip will also provide an opportunity to grow in relationship with one another, and with the Diocese of Sabah.
Itinerary
cost
$1000.00 which includes:
all accommodation, travel and meals within Malaysia,
ministry-related expenses,
attendance at a 4 day Renewal Conference in the city of Telupid.
Additional costs that each participant will need to cover themselves include: Air flight expenses, spending money for incidental and personal shopping are in addition to this cost.
Note: Spending Money - while all of the expenses noted above are covered while in Malaysia, you may want to bring some extra money for snacks, clothing, toiletries and other incidentals.

We have a limit of 30 spaces for Mission 2024, and while our desire is to encourage and equip every generation for ministry we are affirming our commitment to the next generation by reserving some spaces for those under 40 years of age.
Once you have discussed the possibility of joining the mission with your local leadership and received their endorsement, applications can be made below.
