The Anglican Mission in Canada is a missionary movement focused on raising up vibrant and authentic followers of Jesus Christ through organic congregations and a lifestyle of Christ-likeness.

Our Beginnings

The Anglican Mission in Canada has roots in the worldwide Anglican Communion through the Anglican Mission, and receives and accepts oversight and accountability through a College of Consultors. This College of Consultors serves as guardians and overseers, and are responsible for preserving the vision and direction of the Anglican Mission as it expands across the globe.

The membership of this College of Consultors includes the founding Primates of the Anglican Mission, which was established in 2000 by then Primates of South East Asia (Yong) and Rwanda (Kolini). There are also members who are elected by the College from various provinces of the worldwide Anglican Church.

Our National Leadership Team


Silas Ng is rector of Richmond Emmanuel Church, a bishop in the Anglican Mission, and provides spiritual oversight to theAM Canada as our Apostolic Vicar.

Silas is keen to see all Christians have an intimate relationship with Jesus through daily devotions, and writes a daily blog as a means of helping others grow in their relationship with Christ: Discipler 123.

Peter Klenner and his wife Jenny have three adult children and share a passion for God’s word preached, lived and experienced. Peter is the pastor at All Saints Whiterock in addition to his role as Rector General for theAM Canada.

Prior to working in Canada Peter served for many years as Executive Director of Youth for Christ in Western Australia.


John Cox is the senior leader of Jericho Road Church in Port Alberni, and has a passion to see Gods Kingdom come “on earth as in heaven” through the local church.

John brings strong teaching and prophetic gifts to theAM Canada's leadership team, and is a blogger and author of Googling God and Broken for GoodJohn and his wife Sheryl have four adult children.


Ed Hird is rector of St Simon’s Church North Vancouver and the Bishop’s Chaplain. With his Doctor of Ministry in Strengthening Marriages and certification as a leadership coach Ed is passionate about raising up a new generation of healthy leaders. He and his wife Janice live in North Vancouver, BC and have three sons.

Ed blogs regularly and is the author of several books, including Battle for the Soul of Canada and Restoring Health: Body, Mind and Spirit.


Lucy Yeung is a wife, mother and recently graduated from Regent College. In addition to serving on the AM in Canada's leadership team Lucy serves in the role of Caring Pastor at Richmond Emmanuel Church. She is passionate for Christ and holistic discipleship.



Dave De Jong is married to Megan and together they have two sons. Dave provides administrative support to theAM in Canada family in addition to his work with Jericho Road in Nanaimo, B.C.

Dave is committed to discipling and equipping others through missional communities, personal coaching and training initiatives.
