As was announced at our National Summit, Rev. Francis Awando has been prayerfully selected by our National Leadership Team to succeed Dave De Jong in the role of Administrative Support for the Anglican Mission in Canada, a role Dave joyfully served in for 10 years. Dave and Francis have been working towards this succession for several months, with Francis officially beginning his work October 16, 2022.

For those who have yet to meet or work with him, Francis and his wife Georgia have one son (Timothy), and each recently supported young people with Inner Hope Youth Ministries in their work as house parents while also participating in and ministering with Richmond Emmanuel Church. Francis has a wealth of ministry experience, theological training including an MATS from Regent College, Vancouver BC, and an MBA in Strategic Management from University of Nairobi, Kenya and is currently serving The Light of Christ Anglican Church family in Nanaimo.
